A graduate of the University of Minnesota Medical School, Dr. Block has been an OBGYN physician in Minnesota since 1987, and is board certified by the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.

Dr. Block has consistently been named as one of the Twin Cities’ Top Docs by Mpls.St.Paul Magazine and is listed in the “Guide to America’s Top Obstetricians and Gynecologists” by the Consumers’ Research Council of America.  She is also a member of the Harvard Kennedy Women’s Leadership Board.

Dr. Donna Block formed Clinic Sofia in 2004 with a vision to create a healthcare environment where patients of all ages are given the tools to advocate for their health and become part of a healthy, supportive community of Clinic Sofia women.

“As a little girl, I was always attracted to infants and the marvel of their happiness and innocence. Now as a physician, the ‘wow’ factor hasn’t left me. And I deliver only the cutest babies—just ask their parents!

I started Clinic Sofia with the goal of providing for all women the quality of health care I’d want for my own daughters. I am honored to be a part of my patients’ lives from their entry to womanhood through pregnancy and into menopause and beyond.”
