Dr. Arthofter, MD completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Marian Regional Medical Center. She earned her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Iowa Roy J. and Lucille A. Carver College of Medicine, following her undergraduate studies at Central College, where she double majored in Exercise Science with minors in Spanish and Psychology.

Andrea grew up in eastern Iowa, and after completing a medical school rotation on the West Coast, she knew she wanted to make this region her home.
During residency, Andrea has taken on a variety of leadership, teaching, and scholarly roles. She has served as Academic Chief Resident, coordinated resident didactics and simulation sessions, and contributed to the development of educational resources and rotation guides for trainees. Her clinical and academic interests include global health, health equity, preventive care, family planning, and improving access to care for underserved populations.
Andrea is known for her thoughtful, approachable, and patient-centered care style. She is committed to creating a supportive environment where patients feel heard, respected, and empowered to take an active role in their health decisions.

Outside of medicine, she enjoys running, hiking local trails, exploring new restaurants, crafting, and spending time with her partner and their cat.
