07.23.2014Clinic Sofia is excited to announce the addition of a new doctor to its all-women staff. Dr. Jennifer Smolinski joins Clinic Sofia from Penn State College of Medicine, where she completed her obstetrics and gynecology residency and twice received the Arnold P. Gold Foundation Humanism & Excellence in Teaching Award. She received her medical degree from Ohio State University College of Medicine and earned her undergraduate degree in Biology from Xavier University where she was Valedictorian of her class. Additionally, she completed an elective rotation on sexual assault and domestic violence in the Twin Cities and has worked with Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners to learn how to better serve patients and provide education on this important issue. Dr. Jennifer Smolinski recommends that all patients watch as many "Strawberries videos" as possible. Kim Skavnak, RN, IBCLC Joins Clinic Sofia
05.08.2013To help new moms make breastfeeding as enjoyable and successful as possible, Clinic Sofia has added a lactation consultant. Kim Skavnak, RN, IBCLC, is a certified lactation consultant and is available by appointment or for phone consultations to answer questions and offer support to nursing moms.
