A Closer Look: Emily Hagberg
Emily Hagberg has been a Medical Assistant for an impressive 24 years—the last 3 at Clinic Sofia, which she “loves because of the wonderful staff and patients and the opportunity to meet new people.” She started her career in Orthopedics and also worked in Oncology and Family Practice but “always had a love for OBGYN care and was happy to find my way back to it.”
As a medical assistant, Emily assists with prenatal check-ups, annual visits and other clinical tasks. She knew from a young age that she wanted to work in the medical field because she “loves taking care of people.”
When she’s not supporting patients at Clinic Sofia, Emily enjoys baking, gardening, shopping and traveling, “even though I don’t do it enough! I always look forward to my annual trip to Madeline Islands with my girlfriends. And I love Mexican food and could eat it for breakfast, lunch and dinner!”
She and her long-time partner Jason live in Hopkins with their two cats: 15-year-old Cole and 9-year-old Ruby.
